Contemporary Slatted Fencing

This project aimed to create a modern fencing solution for a courtyard garden in the town centre of Colchester, Essex. 

The challenge was to install a fence on top of a low brick wall that ran along the boundary of the small garden. Additionally, the neighbouring property had an intrusive tree that needed to be screened from the garden. 

After considering the customer's initial idea of composite fencing, we proposed an alternative solution that fit within the budget. The result is a cost-effective and stylish screen that enhances the contemporary design of the compact courtyard garden. The installation also provides a durable solution to the original challenges. 

We added a geo membrane as a contrasting background to the battens, which were fixed with stainless steel nails to prevent any staining or bleed onto the timber.
